Expert Review:

**** We were excited to get a second Graco car seat for our second child at such a low price. But when we went to put our one-day old daughter in it, we saw why it was so cheap. The base has no leveling mechanism. This made the seat sit much too high in the car, and our infant's head fell forward to her chest. also there aren't very many shoulder strap positions, and our newborn, even though she is very tall at 20.5 inches, didn't fit well while buckled. Even after putting a towel under her bottom, the shoulder straps were still too high, and rubbed against her face, not tucking around the tops of her shoulders. Luckily Babies R Us was very understanding and immediately exchanged this for a Britax. The Britax is twice as expensive but much more versatile, safe and well made. Worth the money when you're dealing with your infant's life.

**** This is such an easy carseat to install. The base is very sturdy and just felt very snug in my car. The seat is lightweight and very easy to strap in my son. He fits so snug in there I'm not worried about the what if's like I was with my first son's seat. Just so easy to use and comfortable fit. Would buy this again, and would recommend to anyone who needed one!

I had a Graco Snug Ride with my first daughter and the handle broke after four years, but I was very happy with the seat. I wanted to use the bases I already had so I bought this seat because it would fit in the bases and it looked the same. I was very disappointed when it arrived. It was very cute, but they reworked the design. Now you have to loosen and tighten both straps from the back every time you take your baby in and out instead of just pulling one strap from the front like most seats. Also the sun shade wraps around the back so you can no longer move it to block out the sun while driving. You used to be able to move the shade to the front or back to keep the sun off of your baby. Overall I was very disappointed and would not recommend this seat with so many other options out there. I did take it back and got another version of the Graco Snug Ride.

I haven't used this product but with our second child on the way I wanted to make sure we got a safe infant seat. This seat is really cute and seems comfortable, also I have heard great reviews about safety on this product. It's got memory foam padding and really easy to adjust. I have read other reviews about it being heavy/bulky but it doesn't seem any heavier than any other infant car seat I have used with my first child. If your car seat is super light it's probably not very safe. I will write another review once we have had a chance to use it but I am really pleased with it so far.

I bought this seat for my first baby because I loved the pretty design and because Graco is a reputable brand. However, this is an extremely heavy carseat (without the baby!) I recommend a less bulky Graco brand carseat, this style is heavier and there are ones that weigh less and are just as safe. My baby is 8 months old and to carry her in the seat is almost impossible, it is so heavy!

I love this carseat! He seems very comfy & sturdy plus it is so pretty and stylish. I always get TONS of compliments on it. My daughter was a Micro preemie so she was still very small when we left the NICU and we used this carseat for her carseat test and everything. We were able to adjust it to fit her (we only had to add a folded cloth between her legs because there was so much space) one thing we also loved was it came with the body support piece so it helped make her fit better. The hospital did not recommend buying extra support that does not come with carseat because it voids the warrenty. This was a great buy!!!

I just love this car seat! I have had so many compliments on this fabric. It is very soft and my 8 month old still fits into it. It was a great seat for her as a newborn too!

Everything was as promised. Manufacturing date is 02/07/12 -> brandnew! With the LATCH-belt the base is easy to install. The seat itself is light-weight and easy to carry around. A small drawback is that the release mechanism of the belt tightener is on the back.

We weren't sure which car seat to get for our baby, but on a trip to babies R us, we found the Graco SnugRide on sale...it has worked for our daughter from the day we took her home from the hospital till she was 18 months old. We also bought the Grace stroller frame for the car seat and an additional base for our two cars. Putting her in the car rear-facing was a breeze using the latch system, and I love the fact that if she fell asleep in the car, you could put the whole seat into the stroller frame without disturbing her. The only thing was that by 18 months, even though she had exceeded the 1 year limit on the car seat, she was still under 22 lbs so we couldn't switch her to a forward-facing seat. Anyway, by then the regulations changed to be rear-facing till age 2, so we'll keep her in it till then. One thing to remember is that at 22 lbs, her legs were already exceeding the comfort of the seat.
